The Lab Cab Festival is a two-day multi-disciplinary arts festival set in and around Toronto’s historic Factory Theatre.

Music, dance, theatre, spoken word, poetry, visual art, film, comedy and clown are performed in the stairwells, bathrooms, theatres, lobbies, parking lot, courtyard, rehearsal hall, basement, dressing rooms, bars and every nook and cranny of the 138-year old Factory Theatre.
Audiences choose their own schedule from pieces ranging anywhere between two and thirty minutes.
The Festival is an event the entire family can enjoy.
Special attention has been placed in involving at-risk youth to participate in the festival, giving young actors, photographers, directors, musicians and writers the opportunity to perform in a professional yet pressure free environment.

And it’s all FREE FREE FREE!!!

Lab Cab was founded and produced by actor and photographer Aviva Armour-Ostroff as a monthly multi-arts cabaret at the Factory Studio Theatre in 2001. By the time Lab Cab retired after five successful years, it had become a staple in the independent arts scene, a venue where both new and established artists from any discipline could experiment in a safe and supportive environment. In September 2006, Lab Cab successfully expanded into the Lab Cab Festival, an annual event unifying diverse artistic communities under one roof.

Curated by Aviva Armour-Ostroff and co-produced with Andre du Toit, the Lab Cab Festival features many artists.

Contact producer Aviva Armour-Ostroff to find out more about her curating process.
